Brain Recovery Assistants Institute of Nevada (B.R.A.I.N.), is a REAL WORLD coaching approach in continuing recovery. Our program is a client centered program that is part of the continuum of care with the focus on empowerment, community re-entry and independence.
Dr. Geoff Manley, chief neurosurgeon of San Francisco General Hospital, was quoted in the San Francisco Chronicle as saying, “We’ve gotten much better at getting people to survive, but we have a lot of work to do helping people recover.”
No two brain injuries are alike. The physical, cognitive, and behavioral impairments resulting from the injury are unique to each person and may require ongoing intensive treatment throughout the individual’s lifetime. Because of the sudden and often devastating effects of brain injury, long term care and service plans are usually not covered by insurance and/or deductibles are not affordable. Exhausted funds can slow improvement.
